With all the benefits of big-city life and all the comforts of small-town living, Oldsmar, Florida has it all. Located on the northern tip of Tampa Bay, between Tampa and Clearwater, Oldsmar is a century-old community founded in 1913 by Oldsmobile creator, Ransom Eli Olds. Expected to be a big-time oil-producing community due to its placement near one of the four oil wells in Florida, Oldsmar did not produce the riches Olds had expected. However, it does provide other types of riches just waiting to be collected.

With its close proximity to both Gulf beaches and Lake Tarpon, Oldsmar is an ideal community for those who love being near the water. Home to protected wetlands and Harbor Palms Nature Park, Oldsmar also offers a tranquil setting of beautiful parks with scenic views and wildlife, perfect for those who love the outdoors and outdoor activities.

However, if you’re looking for something a little more exciting, Oldsmar Real Estate offers that, too. With just a short drive to Tampa or Clearwater, big-city excitement and opportunity are just moments away.

If you’re looking for a community that combines the best of small-town living with big-city opportunity, Oldsmar fit the bill. Though not rich in oil, Oldsmar is rich in community, beauty, and opportunity. As its welcome sign reads, it’s “A Great Place to Live and Work”.

The new pedestrian bridge in Clearwater Beach is now open to the public. This, long awaited, construction of the Mandalay Pedestrian Bridge is finally complete and many people are taking advantage of the link from the Memorial Causeway to Clearwater Beach. The bridge provides a safe and scenic access for people who to walk, jog, or bike to and from the beach area.

And the best part about it is that it didn’t cost the taxpayers any money out of their pocket. The new $2.4 million structure was built with 100% federal funding. The bridge provides an important link of the Ream Wilson East-West trail, a designated National Recreation Trail that connects Clearwater Beach to Tampa Bay. The trail, when complete, will provide 14 miles of paved non-motorized pathways for pedestrians. Future phases will include the Beach Connector Trail connecting Clearwater Beach with the Pinellas Trail, and the Druid Trail connecting the Pinellas and Progress Energy Trails. The connecting trails, totaling 6 miles, will be built in four phases.

The first trail is now open during daylight hours for non-motorized users such as walkers, joggers, runners, skates, and cyclists. So, if you haven’t been to the beach in awhile, now is a great time to visit. While you are here take a look at all the fantastic deals in Clearwater Beach Condos.

Trinity, FL — Cable TV show House Hunters of HGTV which features homeowners buying and selling homes has come to the Tampa Bay Florida area. Producers of the show chose Trinity of Pasco County as their target city due to its vast appeal and strong growth over the past few years. They also chose Joe Gibbons, Realtor, who specializes in selling Trinity Real Estate, and works with one of the top Tampa Bay real estate teams. Lipply Real Estate, lead by Robert Lipply, Assoc. Broker, with Remax Realtec Group, has an outstanding track record for high volume in the Tampa Bay area as well as ranking in the top 100 Realtors for the entire state of Florida.

Initially airing on August 14, 2008 at 10:00 pm on HGTV, television viewers can watch as Mr. and Mrs. Marcus McCollum as they hire Joe Gibbons to sell their current home in the Fox Wood Subdivision of Trinity. Priced well and groomed for the pickiest buyer, the McCollum’s home sold quickly at top dollar in the midst of the tough real estate market in 2007. Once under contract, the team set out for its home buying adventure with a long wish list and a small geographic area in which to find their dream home. “We want to stay in our Fox Wood Subdivision”, Ivis told Joe Gibbons, who also lives in Trinity, “We have so many friends here; they have become our family”, added Marcus. After viewing over 20 homes, the couple found the ideal house. It really wasn’t a hard decision after all and Ivis and Marcus knew the moment they entered this particular home that they had found it, even though the House Hunters show reveals three possible homes as choices during the 30 minute show, trying to stir up curiosity and indecision in the television audience.

Ivis and Marcus, along with their two young sons, were ready for the challenge of re-enacting their home search for the House Hunters filming crew. It was a lot of work, and a huge sacrifice in terms of time lost from work – all at a stressful time of moving. Asked why they volunteered to star in the show, they both agreed, “We want to do this for our boys.” “They are young now, but it will be a great thing for them to have when they grow up”, said Ivis who never broke a sweat during filming. And, that was the whole premise around the McCollum family buying a bigger home as well. They wanted something better for their children, something more than they had when they were growing up. They definitely found it and they didn’t have to venture away from Fox Wood of Trinity.
